In 1863, Wilhelm Alexander Christ opened his first watch business in Frankfurt am Main, thereby laying the cornerstone of what has become a European enterprise.

In 1975, CHRIST Watches & Jewelry was founded as an independent public company in Switzerland. The company’s goal was and still is to offer jewelry and watches to a wide customer base in an uncomplicated, friendly environment.

Today, CHRIST is the largest watch and jewelry retailer in Switzerland with an extensive network of shops across the country. Since 2006, CHRIST has been part of the Coop group.
